The Journal

The Journal aims to be one of scholarly record and publishes prime source material as well as items of debate and research. Copies are deposited at The British Library and the Library of the National Railway Museum and the Institute for Railway Studies as well as other interested institutions. Any University or College that might like to begin taking the Journal for use in its Library is requested to contact the editor using our contact form.

All contributions which add to the Society’s aims of “The study and recording of information relating to all the railways of the British Isles and public education on matters concerning railways of the British Isles.”, are welcome. Intending contributors, whether members or not, and both are welcome, should email the Editor to obtain guidance on how to submit work.

You will find the contents of the latest issues below. A sample article may be viewed in PDF format.
